264. Deputy Brendan Griffin asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine when a 2020 area of natural constraint payment will issue to a farmer (details supplied) in County Kerry; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [13596/21]
View answerAn application under the 2020 Areas of Natural Constraints (ANC) scheme was submitted by the person named on 27th March 2020.
Under the terms and conditions of the scheme, participants were required to meet minimum requirements concerning stocking density and retention. Additional documentation in the form of a flock register and equine passports were required by my Department from the person named to confirm that they had met these requirements.
These documents have subsequently been provided and the Department has been able to confirm that the person named has now met the minimum requirements. Payment for the 2020 ANC scheme will issue shortly.
