1031. Deputy Brendan Griffin asked the Minister for Social Protection if a decision has been made on an application for an invalidity pension by a person (details supplied) in County Kerry; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [15683/21]
View answerAn application for invalidity pension (IP) was received from the person concerned on 22 January 2021. Her claim has been awarded by a Deciding Officer and backdated six months to 23 July 2020. Payment will issue to her nominated bank account on 25 March 2021. Any arrears due from 23 July 2020 to 24 March 2021 (less any overlapping social welfare payment) will issue in due course. The person in question was notified of this decision on 18 March 2021.
