Deputy Ged Nash asked the Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform further to Parliamentary Question Nos. 414 and 416 of 31 March 2021, if there is consideration to establish guidance for public bodies or publicly funded bodies on upper limits of information and communication technology spending outside the Office of Government Procurement framework; and if he will make a statement on the matter. It is the responsibility of public bodies to ensure they adhere to procurement rules and guidelines and utilise national frameworks put in place where available and appropriate and in conformance with the Public Spending Code, Public Financial Procedures, and other such relevant guidelines already in place.
