Deputy Cathal Crowe asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment if he will contact the Egyptian Government to register concern for cargo bound for Ireland on a ship (details supplied) that has been detained at Suez Port; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I am not aware of specific issues raised in the details supplied. Matters related to the international transport of freight is a matter for the Minister for Transport. Assistance may be available from the Irish Embassy in Cairo in raising concerns regarding any detained cargo.
