Deputy Catherine Murphy asked the Minister for the Environment, Climate and Communications if he and bodies under his aegis have engaged private investigation companies or persons in the past three years to date; and if so, the cost, duration and purpose of these engagements of this type of contractor. My Department has not engaged the services of any private investigation companies or persons in the past three years. The information requested in relation to the agencies under the aegis of my Department is an operational matter for each agency.  The Department will request the relevant bodies to reply directly to the Deputy with the information requested in respect of their organisations.
