161. Deputy Darren O'Rourke asked the Minister for Transport the militaries that received exemptions to land in Irish airports carrying munitions of war onboard in 2020 and to date in 2021; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [28159/21]
View answerExemptions permitting the carriage of munitions of war on civil aircraft are granted pursuant to Article 5 of the Air Navigation (Carriage of Munitions of War, Weapons and Dangerous Goods) Orders, 1973 and 1989. These exemptions are applied for by and granted to civil air transport operators only.
