Deputy Jackie Cahill asked the Minister for Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media the building requirements, room dimensions and so on that a self-catering cottage must meet in order to qualify for the welcome standard as set out by Fáilte Ireland; and if she will make a statement on the matter. The qualifying criteria for the welcome standard is an operational matter for Fáilte Ireland. Accordingly, I have referred the Deputy's question to Fáilte Ireland, for further information and direct reply. Please advise my private office if you do not receive a reply within ten working days.
