Deputy Emer Higgins asked the Minister for Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media if it was her Department or Fáilte Ireland that drafted the eligibility criteria for the tourism business continuity scheme; the section of her Department or Fáilte Ireland that was responsible for drafting eligibility criteria; and if she will make a statement on the matter. View answerMy Department's role in relation to tourism lies in the area of national tourism policy development. Implementation of that policy is a matter for the tourism agencies, Fáilte Ireland and Tourism Ireland. The eligibility criteria for the Tourism Business Continuity Schemes is an operational matter for Fáilte Ireland.
