Deputy Éamon Ó Cuív asked the Minister for Justice the reason the investigation into the Dóchas centre has not yet been completed; when is it expected to be completed and published in view of the concerns that have been raised regarding the facility; and if she will make a statement on the matter. View answerAs the Deputy will be aware, the Office of the Inspector of Prisons is a statutory body, independent in its work, including with respect to the management of the section 31(2) report referred to. The Inspector continues to engage with my officials regarding the progress made with a view to the finalisation of the report as soon as possible.
