416. Deputy Chris Andrews asked the Minister for Justice if a person (details supplied) will be granted an appointment at the INIS office on Burgh Quay in order to present their new passport. [49279/21]

I am pleased to inform the Deputy that the person concerned has obtained a registration appointment via the Registration Appointment Booking System. They should attend as scheduled and present their new passport to facilitate their registration.

Queries in relation to the status of individual immigration cases may be made directly to my Department by e-mail using the Oireachtas Mail facility, [e-mail], which has been specifically established for this purpose. This service enables up to date information on such cases to be obtained without the need to seek information by way of the Parliamentary Questions process. The Deputy may consider using the e-mail service except in cases where the response is, in the Deputy’s view, inadequate or too long awaited.
