502. Deputy Catherine Murphy asked the Minister for Foreign Affairs if he has engaged with the Irish Ambassador to Malaysia to date in 2021; and if he will provide a briefing note in respect of those engagements. [50560/21]
View answerMy Department maintains regular contact with all Heads of Mission serving at our Embassies and offices overseas. This includes Ireland's Embassy in Kuala Lumpur. The Ambassador provides regular updates to the Department on key political, economic and consular issues relating to our engagement with Malaysia and the Asia Pacific region more generally.
I would encourage the Deputy to contact my Department with any specific queries in relation to our wide ranging relationship with Malaysia.
