Deputy David Stanton asked the Minister for Education if she is satisfied that children attending special schools are being provided with adequate services for speech therapy, occupational therapy and physiotherapy as required during their time spent in the schools; and if she will make a statement on the matter. The provision of health therapy supports for children with disabilities, including speech and language therapy, occupational therapy and physiotherapy, are provided by the Health Service Executive (HSE). Matters in relation to the provision of health-related services should therefore be directed to that body or to the Department of Health.
