Deputy Róisín Shortall asked the Minister for Health if he will respond to correspondence from a representative organisation (details supplied); the reason for the delay in issuing a substantive reply; if he plans to meet the organisation; and if he will make a statement on the matter. View answerI have met with the organisation concerned previously and at that time I listened carefully to their concerns and to their proposals. I have recently received additional correspondence which is under consideration and a response will issue in due course.
My Department is currently in a process of reviewing its structure in terms of its strategic business priorities. The matters raised by the organisation concerned are being considered by the Department in that context.
