Deputy Aengus Ó Snodaigh asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment if complaints regarding the health and safety of workers working in a warehousing company (details supplied) were received in November 2021; and the action that was taken to ensure that the dangers posed to workers was addressed. View answerThe Health and Safety Authority (HSA) is the statutory agency tasked with the enforcement of workplace health and safety legislation in Ireland. It acts independently in carrying out its functions as set out in the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act 200, to ensure compliance with workplace health and Safety legislation.
The HSA does not comment on individual employers/workplaces nor does it provide detail on inspections or investigations that are undertaken or underway.
All complaints that has been received by the HSA are reviewed and followed up in the appropriate manner.
