Questions (295)

Paul Murphy

Question:

295. Deputy Paul Murphy asked the Minister for Defence if his Department plans to appeal a decision in relation to the attached objection from his Department lodged against a development in Citywest which features a 13-storey building and has been granted permission by An Bord Pleanála; and if not, the reason given it is on the flight path used by SAR helicopters when ferrying patients to Tallaght Hospital from the west of the country. I am advised that there is no appeal mechanisms available to An Bord Pleanala’s decision to grant consent. My Department, with the military authorities, is actively considering the implications of this decision and is currently seeking legal advises on same. In the circumstances, I am not in a position to comment further.
