11. Deputy Catherine Murphy asked the Minister for the Environment, Climate and Communications the steps he has taken to improve ventilation in the office buildings of his Department; if air cleaning and or purification systems have been installed in 2021; and if not, the plans to install same in 2022. My Department in conjunction with its Health and Safety consultants prepared a Covid-19 Response Plan. It contains a number of control measures to ensure there is good ventilation in the Department's offices. These include the regular servicing of air conditioning systems and maximising natural ventilation with the introduction of an open window policy.My Department has implemented the updated Government guidelines on working from home and office attendance.There are no plans to install air purifications systems at present in my Department's offices but the position is kept under review.
