172. Deputy Michael Lowry asked the Minister for Transport the reason a category A aircraft maintenance licence was not provided from the Irish Aviation Authority to a person (details supplied) in County Tipperary; if this person can now receive their aircraft engineer mechanic experience logbook back from the IAA given that they require same to access employment in another European country; and if he will make a statement on the matter. This is a matter for the Irish Aviation Authority (IAA) as the competent authority for aviation safety regulation in Ireland.
