647. Deputy Colm Burke asked the Minister for Health the number of cervical cancer diagnoses that were made in 2019, 2020 and up to 30 September 2021; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [61698/21]

The National Cancer Registry Ireland (NCRI) collects, classifies, records and stores information in relation to each newly diagnosed individual cancer patient, and in relation to each tumour that occurs.

The NCRI advises that figures for the number of women diagnosed with cervical cancer in Ireland for 2020 have not yet been fully validated. The most recently available 5-year data, from the NCRI annual statistical report (published Dec 2021), cover the period 2015-2019 and are as follows:
