Deputy Holly Cairns asked the Minister for Social Protection the number of State boards under the remit of her Department or its agencies, in tabular form; the number of members of each board; the number of persons with a declared disability on each board; and the percentage of each board that is made up of persons with a declared disability. There are four statutory bodies operating under the aegis of my Department: the Citizens Information Board, the Pensions Authority, the Pensions Council and the Social Welfare Tribunal. The table below sets out the number of members on each board. Please note that Board members are not required to declare a disability and hence the information requested on the representation of people with disabilities on each board is not available.
