Deputy Darren O'Rourke asked the Minister for Transport if his attention has been drawn to the fact that some bus stops previously served by the 747 and 757 Dublin Bus routes are no longer used by new private providers making it more difficult to travel to and from Dublin Airport by public transport; and if he will make a statement on the matter. As the Minister for Transport, I have responsibility for policy and overall funding in relation to public transport; however, neither I, nor the National Transport Authority, have a role in relation to route planning for commercially operated bus services. As such, the issue raised does not fall under the remit of my Department.
