Deputy Peadar Tóibín asked the Minister for Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media if she will meet with a person (details supplied) from the live entertainment sector informed by her Department that they are not eligible for LPSS2 and LPSS3 and faces huge financial loss due to Covid-19 restrictions on their business. View answerMy officials have engaged extensively with the producer referred to by the Deputy and have fully explained the eligibility criteria for both LPSS 2 and 3.
An application was submitted on Friday January 20th from this producer under LPSS 2 and my officials will assess this in line with the scheme parameters. This strand of the Live Performance Support Scheme will remain open until January 31st.
