296. Deputy Catherine Connolly asked the Minister for Housing, Local Government and Heritage if he will provide a progress update on the Housing for All target of acquiring at least 2,500 vacant units by 2026 for onward sale; the analysis his Department has carried out into increasing this target, particularly in view of the findings of a report (details supplied) which found that there were 90,158 vacant dwellings in Ireland at the end of 2021; the details of the targets in respect of Galway City Council and Galway County Council; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
