189. Deputy Catherine Murphy asked the Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform the reason that there are only 25 entries from Ireland on the global database on extreme weather events EM-DAT for the period 1900-2021 while many of the proposed entries by EM-DAT appear empty, for example, the cost of damages, lives lost and so on in the context of the national long-term climate action strategy required under section 3(2)(d) of the Climate Action and Low Carbon Development Act 2015 (as amended); and if he will make a statement on the matter.
