46. Deputy Peadar Tóibín asked the Minister for Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media the amount spent to date on the Galway 2020 project; the amount that was Exchequer funding; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [5375/22]
View answerAs of the end of December 2021, €22.7 million had been spent on the delivery of the Galway 2020 European Capital of Culture project. To date, the Department has paid €14 million of the overall €15 million Exchequer commitment to the project and €1 million remains towards Galway 2020 legacy initiatives.
