View answerGuidance relating to visitor access in acute hospitals is developed by HSE AMRIC (Antimicrobial Resistance & Infection Control) and published on the Health Protection Surveillance Centre website. This guidance is regularly reviewed and updated, with recent NPHET advice taken into account in guidance reviews.
As the review and implementation of visiting guidance is an operational matter, I have asked the Health Service Executive to respond to the Deputy directly.
