Questions (138)

Richard Boyd Barrett

Question:

138. Deputy Richard Boyd Barrett asked the Minister for Health if his attention has been drawn to the fact that families of persons with dementia have been informed that day services provided at a facility (details supplied) are due to be cut from three days to two days per week; the reason this is the case, rather than increase the number of persons permitted to attend three days per week to the pre-pandemic level of 24, the HSE is insisting on retaining the reduced number which was introduced in July 2021 in keeping with public health guidelines (details supplied); and if he will make a statement on the matter. As this is a service matter, I have asked the Health Service Executive to respond to the deputy directly, as soon as possible
