71. Deputy Duncan Smith asked the Minister for Housing, Local Government and Heritage if his attention has been drawn to a structural problem with a heritage listed bridge (details supplied) in County Kildare; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [6929/22]
View answerCaragh Bridge is a protected structure and a National Monument. I can confirm that Kildare County Council have been in contact with my Department to inform of the need to carry out repairs to the bridge. Such works require my consent and I can also confirm that an application for consent has been received by the National Monuments Service of my Department. This application is being processed as a matter of priority.
