259. Deputy Violet-Anne Wynne asked the Minister for Transport if Government policy during the pandemic can be taken to mean that public servants working under the auspices of his Department were protected from short time working notwithstanding the commercial position of the employer as per the Labour Court recommendation regarding same; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Minister of State at the Department of Transport

The Department of Public Expenditure and Reform developed Guidance and FAQs on working arrangements and temporary assignments during COVID-19 for civil and public service employers. My Department are currently engaging with DPER on this policy in relation to recent Labour Court recommendations.
