Deputy Denis Naughten asked the Minister for Housing, Local Government and Heritage if he will ensure that Irish Water provides funding to deliver a wastewater treatment plant in Creggs, County Galway which has been identified in the village plan as the key infrastructural investment required; and if he will make a statement on the matter. My Department is currently developing proposals to support the provision of waste water treatment requirements for villages and similar settlements that do not have access to public waste water infrastructure. I propose to make an announcement in relation to these proposals in the coming weeks.
