Deputy Catherine Connolly asked the Minister for Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media further to Parliamentary Question No. 253 of 5 October 2021, the way in which the remaining €1 million in departmental funding will be spent; the role her Department has had in the legacy planning; and if she will make a statement on the matter. My Department is engaged with Galway 2020 and Galway City and County Councils to support the legacy planning process and the development of the legacy framework arising from Galway's year as European Capital of Culture.

The remaining €1 million of Department funding will support programmes and initiatives under the legacy framework.
