Deputy Peadar Tóibín asked the Minister for Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media the number of staff currently employed by her Department; the current annual salary of the highest and second highest paid persons respectively, employed by her Department; and the various pay scales for persons working in her Department. The highest paid Civil Servant in my Department serves as Secretary General and her current annual salary is €194,399. The second highest paid civil servants in my Department serve at assistant secretary grade. Two civil servants receive an annual salary of €157,886.
