910. Deputy Matt Carthy asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine the amount of horticultural peat imported to the State in tonnes, by month, from 2021 to date in 2022; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [16613/22]
View answerThe Central Statistics Office collect data on peat imports and exports. The data captured is not so granular as to differentiate peat types i.e. peat for fuel or horticultural peat. The table below details peat imports by month during 2021. CSO figures are not yet available for 2022.
