Deputy Mary Lou McDonald asked the Minister for Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science the number of staff within his Department who availed of a secondment from January 2019 to date on the basis that it was not the intention of the staff member to return to his or her position within the Department. There are no staff members of my Department who have availed of a secondment since the establishment of the Department in 2020 on the basis that it was not the intention of the staff member to return to the Department following their secondment period.
