Deputy Mary Lou McDonald asked the Minister for Rural and Community Development the number of staff within her Department who availed of a secondment from January 2019 to date on the basis that it was not the intention of the staff member to return to his or her position within the Department. View answerThe Department of Rural and Community Development was established on 19th July 2017 to provide a renewed and consolidated focus on rural and community development in Ireland.
I can confirm that no staff members employed in my Department went on secondment since January 2019 on the basis that they would not return to their position within the Department.
My Department currently has only one employee who is seconded out to another Government Department.
