Deputy Catherine Murphy asked the Minister for Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth the number of beds available to refugees in a hotel (details supplied); the number of refugees currently based in the hotel; and the amount paid to the hotel operators per person per night. View answerMy Department is focused on providing short term accommodation to people fleeing the conflict in Ukraine. Over 23,000 people have sought short-term temporary accommodation from my Department to date.
As contract negotiations are still ongoing with the hotel in question, I am not in a position to provide the information requested. The Deputy should also note that the Department is not in a position to provide contractual values of individual providers in view of the commercially sensitive nature of the data.
