Questions (1042)

Catherine Connolly

Question:

1042. Deputy Catherine Connolly asked the Minister for Education if a candidate who suffers from an epileptic tonic-seizure during a Leaving Certificate examination is permitted to resit that exam as is the case for those with appendicitis (details supplied); if not, her plans to ensure that those who suffer medical events during an examination through no fault of their own are not thereby penalised; and if she will make a statement on the matter.
