1588. Deputy Róisín Shortall asked the Minister for Justice the number of convictions for drug possession with intent to supply offences since 2015; the number of these which received custodial sentences each year, in tabular form; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [41179/22]
View answerThe Deputy will be aware that the management of the courts, operational matters and logistical functions are the responsibility of the judiciary and Courts Service, which are independent in exercising their functions under the Courts Service Act 1998 and given the separation of powers in the Constitution.
