Deputy Peadar Tóibín asked the Minister for Housing, Local Government and Heritage if his Department has spent money or sought external assistance with departmental and ministerial public relations; and if so, the cost; and the name of the agencies, consultants and companies involved in each of the past ten years and to date in 2022, in tabular form. View answerPublic (or external) relations functions are generally undertaken by my Department's Press Office and Communications Unit. The engagement of external expertise is only considered where the issues involved require expert skills or capabilities that are not readily available within my Department. However, my Department has not incurred expenditure in this area over the past ten years.
