129. Deputy Peadar Tóibín asked the Taoiseach if he will provide a breakdown of the number of persons unemployed in Ireland, including the qualification and former trade or employment type of the unemployed person. [47789/22]

The Labour Force Survey (LFS) is a household survey which provides quarterly statistics on employment and unemployment and is the official source of labour market estimates in the State. The classification of employment status in LFS results is determined according to ILO (International Labour Organisation) concepts and definitions.

The most recent LFS figures available are for Quarter 2 (Q2) 2022.

Table 1 below shows the number of persons unemployed (ILO) aged 15 - 74 years classified by educational attainment for the second quarter 2022.

Table 2 below shows the number of persons unemployed (ILO) aged 15-74 years classified by previous NACE Rev.2 Economic Sector for the second quarter 2022.
