I have contacted the Payment Scheme Office in relation to this matter. I understand that a technical issue resulted in some emails, including the one in question, being marked as actioned and therefore not receiving a response. The Payment Scheme Office are looking into the matter further to ensure that this does not happen again and have apologised for this incident.

The email address in question is used to deal with general enquiries about the Payment Scheme only. No information relating to an applicant or an 'in progress' application is provided through this address. For this reason the Deputy should by now have received a response and an apology in relation to this oversight from the dedicated email address for enquiries from public representatives - PaymentSchemeREPs@equality.gov.ie. This email address can be used by the Deputy for any future enquiries relating to the Payment Scheme that he may wish to make on behalf of his constituents.

While I am not in a position to get involved in the status of individual cases, I understand there has been engagement post 19th June directly with the applicant concerned and the Payment Scheme Office is happy to further engage and assist if needed.
