188. Deputy Aengus Ó Snodaigh asked the Minister for Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media if she is concerned by the growing use by State agencies and service providers of art generated by artificial intelligence rather than Irish artists; and her views on whether a strategy is required across Government to ensure human artists are commissioned for work relating to graphic design and artwork for marketing and communication in the provision of State services. My colleague, the Minister for Public Expenditure, NDP Delivery and Reform has responsibility for policy on artificial intelligence. His Department has developed  Interim Guidelines for Use of AI in the Public Service. These were published earlier this year and are available at www.gov.ie/en/publication/2127d-interim-guidelines-for-use-of-ai/.
