The MIPIM (Marché International des Professionnels de l'Immobilier) is an international property and real estate conference that takes place each year in France. This year, the four-day conference was expected to attract over 20,000 delegates, from over 90 countries, as well as Government Ministers, senior civil servants, and the mayors of major cities.
This year, the Ireland Real Estate Investment Pavilion, in association with the Ireland Strategic Investment Fund (ISIF), and supported by four sponsors who are stakeholders in the Irish real estate market, hosted a one-day event on Wednesday, 12 March 2025. The purpose of this one-day event was to serve as a central point of engagement for potential investors interested in investing in Europe, specifically in Ireland.
On invitation from ISIF, my Department joined the Irish contingent to support the engagement at the Irish Pavilion. A small delegation of senior officials from the Department, led by the Secretary General, attended the conference and participated in panel discussions at the Irish Pavilion. My Department did not distribute any material at the event.
The Government is committed to attracting and retaining the necessary level of private investment to support record levels of state funding to reach our housing targets. In this regard, the key points communicated to the audience included the potential for appropriate investment in the Irish residential sector; our strong socio-economic foundations; the stability of the Irish system; and, the various initiatives underway to boost the supply of new homes.
