Tree of Hope planted in Leinster Lawn

10 May 2017, 12.59

The Ceann Comhairle and Cathaoirleach planted a Tree of Hope in Leinster Lawn this morning.

The red hawthorn (Crataegus Paul’s Scarlet) was planted in memory of those who have lost their lives to suicide and as a symbol of strength to all those affected by mental health issues.

Trees have been planted at various locations around Ireland.
