The Joint Committee on the Irish Language, the Gaeltacht and the Islands has published its draft report on the General Scheme and Draft Heads of the Official Languages (Amendment) Bill 2017.
The report outlines the committee’s concerns that the heads of the Bill so not contain provisions to implement specific strategies to tackle the crisis facing the Irish language and the Gaeltacht immediately.
