The Joint Committee on Public Petitions met last week to consider petitions submitted by members of the public.
The petitions considered concerned outbreaks of diseases in Irish salmon farms, the protection of the Irish red fox and the future of RTÉ’s orchestras. The Committee on Public Petitions receives and processes public petitions submitted to the Houses of the Oireachtas. Members of the public may submit petitions directly to the committee.
