A collection of artefacts, images and ephemera celebrating the suffrage movement was installed in the Seanad ante room today.
The exhibition, which opens tomorrow, celebrates the campaign for votes for women in Ireland. One of the key pieces is the banner of the Irishwomen’s Franchise League, established in 1908.
The banner is courtesy of the Sheehy Skeffington family. The exhibition is in partnership with the National Museum of Ireland and the National Library of Ireland.
