The president of the GAA, Mr. John Horan, addressed Seanad Éireann today to discuss the important role the GAA has played in the civic life of Ireland.

Mr. Horan reflected on the role of the GAA as primary custodian and promoter of our national sporting culture and its contribution to reconciliation among the different traditions on the island of Ireland.

Under Seanad Éireann procedures, people from public and civic society may be invited to address the House on specific issues.
