Images of the Dáil Chamber will be featured in a new book by photographer Nico Bick.
The book, Parliaments of the European Union, is a collection of fold-out photographs of 30 parliaments – those of the 28 member states and the two EU parliaments in Brussels and Strasbourg. It is expected to be published before 29 March 2019.
Nico Bick photographed the parliaments between 2010 and 2016 as a way of examining the similarities and differences between the plenary chambers of the parliaments of the European Union member states and their national democratic processes. The photographs have been exhibited at the Nederlands Fotomuseum in Rotterdam and at the Atlelier Néerlandais in Paris.
