The Houses of the Oireachtas Debates Office hosted the annual symposium of the British-Irish Parliamentary Reporting Association (BIPRA) on Monday 29 to Wednesday 31 July.
The theme of this year’s symposium was “Parliamentary Reporting: Past, Present and Future”. Delegates came from chambers including the House of Commons, House of Lords, Scottish Parliament and National Assembly for Wales.
Meetings were held in the temporary Seanad Chamber, located in the National Museum of Ireland.
BIPRA was founded in 2001 and has 11 members. It exists to support the exchange of information and ideas and promote professionalism in the production of the official reports of legislatures.
