The Oireachtas Library is exhibiting a publication, dated 11 September 1919, containing the proclamation that “The Dáil Éireann” was considered a dangerous organisation and was now prohibited.
The September proclamation was followed by another in November, which outlawed Sinn Féin, the Sinn Féin clubs, the Irish Volunteers, Cumann na mBan and the Gaelic League on a nationwide basis.
